Happy Summer Y’all!!! Here’s a new release that will keep you feeling sunny by Brooklyn music artist/producer/dj extraordinaire Nickodemus. His website is here and his new album is named Sun People. I just love the way he blends the latin beats with the afrobeats with the reggae beats with the balkan beats with the arabic beats with the tropical beats ad infinitum.
at the Tractor Tavern on June 19, 2009. The Fellows emerged from a long hiatus to celebrate the release of their new cd, I Think This Is. The lighting was low and I tried my best to utilize other folks flashes instead of my own. Results were definitely mixed, but what you see here are the pleasant surprises.

Balkan Beat Box of Brooklyn, NY were the headliners, with The Bad things and Orchestar Zirconium opening the show. The crowd was there to dance, and dance away they did, all night long. Fun, fun, fun!
